Poetry for Procrastination of Physics

I’m stuck on a tutorial on the Nernst Equation where the only question I can answer is ‘what is this equation called?’

(srsly, HUGE disadvantage in not taking physics ever ever ever when it comes to understanding membrane potential.)

and because I’m stuck on a tutorial I really don’t want to face, I’m blogging. Productive procrastination whoohoo.

Here are two beautiful slam poems done by one of my two absolute favourite slam poets ever, Joshua Bennet (the other being Andrea Gibson)

One for his sister, Tamara, who was born deaf

and

written for his brother, Levi, who is on the autistic spectrum

I don’t think I have to write out explicitly why I think this is relevant to my blog, right? 😉 (besides the fact that I WRITE WHATEVER I WANT TO SO TOO BAD).

Facing physics with his beautiful (doesn’t even begin to describe it) words is so much better.

Now, back to E = \frac{R T}{z F} \ln\frac{[\text{ion outside cell}]}{[\text{ion inside cell}]} = 2.303\frac{R T}{z F} \log_{10}\frac{[\text{ion outside cell}]}{[\text{ion inside cell}]}.
